It’s Freezing. Get Warm.

by Jessi on January 22, 2013

Studio Ghibli Rpg releases today! OK not unbelievable since all the kids these days have seen Howl’s Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Ponyo thanks to Disney.

But still if I had a PS3 and/or I didn’t get sea-sick I’d be all all over this.

So cute! The game is called Ni no Kuni, it’s about a little boy who ventures to another world in search of his mother (maybe?).

>_< I watched the trailer and the purple dragon just got me.

*New Music Alert*

Two days ago I was caller number 10 and my radio station gave me freebee concert tickets, it was negative 19 yesterday but I still made it out to first ave’s entry to see a lovely California band: Family of the Year. I’d never heard of them before, but went anyways.

Response: Beautiful. Great harmonies and fun songs. Take a listen.

∆ So This is the New Year.

by Jessi on January 4, 2013

Hey look at that we’ve hit 2013. Hello a whole New Year to either spoil or make awesome (I’ll probably do a bit of both). It’s been a very long time since my last post aka my New York vacation, yikes oh well. So here is what you’ve missed.

……..

(Thinking)

Well… I mean okay I didn’t really do too much, I was sick for a lot of my summer and then into fall, and now I’m less sick. I’ve worked a bit: blogging, tiny bit of freelancing, and worked as a promo girl for a few events this summer. I just got done with a promotional campaign for Hgtv, that was fun I worked long hours for weeks, made it through alright. :)

I also currently have two novels with lots of characters fighting inside my head, -_- not sure how I feel about that.

Still following Doctor Who and watched the last bit of BBC’s Merlin. Last episode was very vile and sad for any BBC fans.

As for blogging well that’s going okay but I’ve probably been Pinning and Tumblr rolling to much.

Music: well since my ears are always open, bands I most liked last year was: Temper Trap and Among Savages. I think I will love them forever.

All in all I’ve laughed a bit, met thousands of new faces and tried my best to be my best.

Dreams not resolutions:

˚Travel like a made women (but also have sufficient funds to get me around)

˚Take some -air from lungs-  photos

˚Wisdom.

˚Spend time with the ones I love.

˚Be mad for life and true to myself.

˚Buy a cactus.

안녕하세요, everyone.

Aww, so my heart has been on cute-ness overload this week. I am in New York City for a week, this vacation has been like this: running around, shopping, riding the subways, going to concerts, and eating yummy food.  On Tuesday, February 2nd,  I was doing some random  surfing online at like 6 AM and I came across a blog announcement from soshified.com that said the hot KPop band Girls Generation was in NYC! And not just that, the girls were going to be doing a live performance on the Live with Kelly show that same day. So without hesitating I grabbed my sister and my 7 day unlimited Metra pass and ran out of my hotel room and sped down a semi empty Time Square. Hopped on the subway and jumped in the line for stand by tickets at the ABC 7 studio at 7 AM. It was a bit of a mess, and pretty cold. But well worth the wait. No we didn’t get in the show but we did get to see all of  SNSD. We watched them hurry into the studios with their crew of like twenty other people.

They were on Kelly, and I guess they sang but I haven’t actually seen the show yet because I was outside trying to get into the show or trying to get a peek of them in real life. I do know there was a clip from the show where my sister Kenneh and I showed up in the crowd of fans. Kenneh’s wearing purple  and jumping around, and I was wearing black, see video below and our photos of Girls Generation SNSD above.

Okay so like the show ends at like 10 AM, and we move back to where the Girl’s bus dropped them off, there were lots more security and paparazzi…. everything was a little chaotic the sidewalks and roads were filled with fans. The security were a little odd… they pushed us into a weird human cube and pushed us around like dolls. I got alot of stern looking faces from those guys.

But finally after a lot of confusion and being pushed around, ABC’s back garage door comes up and out come the girls! All nine of them walk out waving and smiling. They signed only a few autographs before disappearing into their giant bus. They were stunning. Taeyeon, Jessica, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuril, Sooyoung, Yoona and Seohyun were wearing Girls Generation puffer jackets and had their hair and makeup absolutely perfect.

The fans were super cute they sang, danced and had posters. Everyone had his or her favorite band member, Tiffany got the most fan-girl screams. Personally I love them all, they are all inspiring & unique women.

One day I hope to see them perform live, but I will most likely have to goto California or Korea for that since Minnesota might not be on their managers radar.

감사합니다 (THANK YOU) Girls Generation for making my trip memorable, please come back to North America soon.

Welcome Home Nespresso

by Jessi on December 13, 2011

So our Keurig just got owned. We just un-boxed and set up the bright red Nespresso machine and love it. Still need to finish off all the pods and pick out our favorites so we can order more. The milk frother is pretty sweet too I read reviews about the other frothers that aren’t attached to the machine and people say they die after a few uses… so I hope ours stays spinning for awhile.

Question: Why is Organic Milk $10 a gallon at the local grocery store?……CON!

It snowed yesterday! I love being warm and cozy inside with dusty white sky stuff all over outside. The thing is dislike is those little kids who walk to school every morning; they leave those footprints everywhere and pack down that snow until it ultimately turns to ice. My French Connection sweater dress came in the mail yesterday, it has bows all down the back and is stripy navy and white. Must stay warm… at least it’s not as cold as standing on Lake Louise when its below zero, my feet almost turned green.

Right now I’m reading Snuff by TP beautiful book the cover art is like whoa. Not too far into it because I own it and don’t want to eat it right away.

My wisdom teeth are in and I really want to keep them, they don’t bother me at all just an extra spaces to brush. Not sure if the whole “everyone needs to rip out their teeth in their 20′s” thing is correct. If it isn’t biggest dental scam ever.

Lots to do, not enough sunlight … Fall/Winter = Fail Seasons.

i drew a fox

by Jessi on October 27, 2011

My family brought home this enormous drawing table that goes up and down and angles however you want it, so I gave it a try and here is a: fox!

This little fox was based on this little guy here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lO_KOB-gUps.

I hope there are many happy foxes out in the world.

Garden Party

by Jessi on September 19, 2011

7 months… yes I know but I’ve been busy with other blogs plus Tumblr has been enticing.

I do love this h-k because it is a bit more personal.

On that note here are some photos from a random vintage hat dress up party me and my sister Mackenzie had yesterday evening.

Some of these hats are for sale, so contact me if your interested. I will have them up on Etsy as well (link to be continued).
